The Day Life Changed

On March 29 2010 Evan was driving to work when his tire blew which pulled him to the right and caused his Explorer to roll. He was badly injured. He broke C-5 C-6 in his neck and is now parlayed from the neck down. If the UPS drive had not been behind Evan he would of not been found until morning because he rolled off the road far enough no one would of seen his Explorer. Our life for the Evan Sleight family has been changed forever and we are now learning how to take care of Evan. This blog is to show our ups and downs on our new journey.

And the journey also contiues with our family now that it has been two years almost three. We still have our ups and downs just like all families do.

Well Evan was doing better but yesterday started not feeling good. I took him to the doctor and he has another infection. It seems we go from the on infection to another. I am hoping as the weather starts to warm up the infections will stop. The family is doing well and we are all gettig ready for Easter and the kids are on spring break and get to spend time with
Evan. So for now this is our update. Thank you again for all your love, support and prayers.

UPDATE

Sorry here is the update Evans blood work came back Neg. so things there are good. Now if we could get him to feel better and not be sick all the time he would be a lot happier. He is sick again and on a different drug to see if it will work. Hopefully this will be the magic drug and Evan can start to feel better and can move forward. Now the other thing is could we get warm weather so he can go outside and in joy the sunshine and warm weather. I think thatwould help also because he is getting cabin fever I am sooo with him on that. I am ready for warm weather were we can go for walks and be outside.

Well I also beleive that the warm weather will stop all the infections. Thank you for all your prayers and for thoughts. We love you all. Robyn
