The Day Life Changed
On March 29 2010 Evan was driving to work when his tire blew which pulled him to the right and caused his Explorer to roll. He was badly injured. He broke C-5 C-6 in his neck and is now parlayed from the neck down. If the UPS drive had not been behind Evan he would of not been found until morning because he rolled off the road far enough no one would of seen his Explorer. Our life for the Evan Sleight family has been changed forever and we are now learning how to take care of Evan. This blog is to show our ups and downs on our new journey.
And the journey also contiues with our family now that it has been two years almost three. We still have our ups and downs just like all families do.

So please comment if you want me to keep posting otherwise this will be the last post. Evan is doing well. He battling pneumonia and other infections that have put in the hospital a week at a time but he’s doing well for the most part. Logan is now 22. He is at college in Cedar City SUU and is loving it. He is doing quite well. Marlene 21 is working and going to school. She is doing well and will someday have her own bakery. Brittney 21 is now married and loving life. She married her best friend from high school Tagger Sanchez they will be celebrating there one year anniversary in October. Christopher is serving a mission in Oklahoma Oklahoma City mission. Been in the field for four and a half months. He is loving everything about his mission and has the cutest girlfriend waiting for him to return and marry her. Airel is full of spunk and fits so nicely in our family. We will see if the end result is them together forever. Tresithney 11 has started intermediate school which is six and seventh grade. She is in the Chinese immersion program and has been since first grade so six years and is doing well. She one day wants to go to China and loves to dance. She has been learning silks it’s a form of dance you use a long piece of silky material hanging from the ceiling and you dance in it. It’s way awesome. Sariah 11 also just started intermediate school and is loving it. She has dabbled in gymnastics and loves to sing. They are all doing well in there own part of life. I am just starting back up in school also. I’m starting the long journey into the nursing program as Evan is saying it’s taken him eight years to get back in school. Evan and the kids have been my priority so now that most of the kids are on there own I to have returned to school it challenging but the end results will be worth it. So there’s the update on the Sleight Family. If you would like me yo continue here please comment if not catch the periodic updates on Facebook or you can see the things and pictures posted there.
Love from the Sleight family and thank you for all the support you have give us.
