The Day Life Changed
On March 29 2010 Evan was driving to work when his tire blew which pulled him to the right and caused his Explorer to roll. He was badly injured. He broke C-5 C-6 in his neck and is now parlayed from the neck down. If the UPS drive had not been behind Evan he would of not been found until morning because he rolled off the road far enough no one would of seen his Explorer. Our life for the Evan Sleight family has been changed forever and we are now learning how to take care of Evan. This blog is to show our ups and downs on our new journey.
And the journey also contiues with our family now that it has been two years almost three. We still have our ups and downs just like all families do.

Big project ahead
Sorry for being such a slacker and not keeping things update as I should. I now have a part time job. So things are pretty busy at the Sleight home with summer here kids are running place to place. We have been looking at buying a home. Evan is doing well the surgery has help a lot with his pain and he is getting some of the lost feeling back which is nice for him. So here is the good news. The land that was donated to us we have some gentlemen who are big in the Brigham community who came to us last Friday July 12,2013 and said that they want to help build a home that is wheelchair accessible for Evan. So Evan and I are trying to get the community, our friends and family together to help us with this big project. We are asking anyone who is willing to help please let us know, we are also looking for donations of Money, Time, Lumber, Plumbing supplies, Electrical supplies, Cupboards, Tile, Roofing supplies, Wood flooring, etc. anything to build a house. Anyone who is willing to help put together a fund raiser let us know this would also be a big help. It would be wonderful if we could get this house finished before the end of the year. We are so grateful to our dad/grandfather for the roof over our heads for the last three years but we would love to have a place that is ours. The video link that I have added was made for ABC Extreme Makeover but they cancelled the show. It helps tell our story and how our kids all felt. Some of the kids still cannot express in words how they felt when they heard the news. We are so grateful for all the love and support we have had from everyone we know. Please know that we love each one of you and hope you are all doing well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW8HFNtZOok
