The Farley Family

Todd and his family were also a very special to us. From Louisiana he was injured by being buck off a mechanical bull. He had a really hard time at first when he came to Craig hospital Evan and him became really close. Todd was Evans first roommate and Evan tried hard to make Todd laugh and realize life could still go on and you could still have fun. We have even planned to return for reevaluation at the same time so we can hang out with Todd and his family.

Debbie and Bobby Byumn

This is Debbie and Bobby and their family. We became good friends with them. He was injured using one of those inversion tables. The strap that held his legs broke and he landed on his neck. They are from Texas. Tresithney and Sariah were their sunshine while we were there they always had to give Bobby hugs and kisses before we left to go to bed or when we finally brought them home. Very wonderful people.

Wheelchair Races

Well I finally got all the pictures downloaded. I will be posting things as I get thur all the Pictures for you to see the fun summer at Craig hospital. These two pics are of Evan and his good friend Todd having a wheelchair race. The would say rubbin is racin. They would put each other into the wall or the scale itwas funny to watch. You would get out of the way when you saw them line up because you knew they were going to try to fly down the hall way to see who would win. Evan was always doing stuff to make Todd laugh and to just be Evan.

Well Evan is doing a lot better. He is doing well at work also. Things look like we might be able to stay away from the hospital until Feb. when we return to Craig Hospital for Evan's six month check up to make sure all is still moving forward. We are thankful for all our friends, Evan's coworkers and family. You all have help Evan continue to move forward with the prayers and thoughts. Well Evan is going to be in the hospital for a few more days looks like we are going to be bringing in the New Year at the hospital. Evan is feeling better and as soon as he can eat he will be happy. Well hope all will have a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Thank you for all your love, Prayers and kindness Robyn

In the Hosptial Again

Well Evan was admitted agian to the hospital yesterday. He has a bowel blockage which required surgery to fix. He went into surgery at 5:30p.m. last night and was done at 9 p.m. things are fixed and all is going well. Now we need to get him feeling well again so he will be able to return home. This year has been a busy one in and out of the hospital. Thanks to all of you and your prayers, Love and kindness or we would not be able to get thru it all. The gratitude we have for all our friends, family and Evan's coworkers words can not express. We love you all and are grateful to have your support. Continue the prayers they are being received well and things continue to improve slow but sure. Thank you again for all you do for us. Robyn

Well everything went well for Evan on his surgery. He has started work and is doing well. Thank you for all the prayer and everything you have all done for Evan and our family. Things are really busy right now with Evan doing full days at work and Chrismas coming up I will try to keep things better updated. Again Thank You to all.

Well today evan was admitted in to the hospital to have a colon scope Tomorrow to make sure the really bad bout of colonist he had did not kill any of his bowel. So keep him in your prayers that all goes well. If it is all good Evan will be in the Brigham Hosptial for a week to make sure his colostomy is working well. Well things at the Sleight home have become very interesting. On Friday the 8th of October I had Knee Surgery. I had a cyst and tissue out that was bothering me. Now Evan and I are both laid up and the Kids are learning all the things I did that they did not have to do. It has been a great experience for them to learn. Evan is down right now with a UTI and is feeling like crap at this point in time. The Meds he was given for the UTI are helping he has in the past two days started to feel better. I am grateful for the wonderful children we have and there willingness to step up and help when I can not. I am also grateful for all the love and support we have of all our family and friends. Update

Well the fundraiser went well. We have had a donor give us $20,000. Which we are so very grateful too. We are going to be getting Evan a van soon. I have to have knee surgery at the end of the week and hopefully next week we can go out to Colorado to get things into motion for the van and adaptation of the van. The Fundraiser/ Auction is going to help finish paying for the van. Evan is doing well and so is the rest of the family. Fall is in the air and the fall colors on the trees are beautiful. Evan is also getting things together so he can soon return to work. His work is getting all the adaptive software and other things he needs. The next step is to see if it will work and play nice with the software and things at work. Keep fingers cross all will go well. Thank you for all your support, Love and prayers.
